Before You Book: Frequently Asked Questions
Will you buy/supply alcohol?
Colorado state law prevents us from supplying alcohol without a retail liquor license. We will consult with you to determine what beer, wine, and liquor to purchase, and how much you’ll need. We recommend working with Argonaut Liquor or Total Wine & More; they have a wide selection and offer delivery.
How far will you travel?
Colorado is a big and beautiful place! We work primarily in the Denver Metro area, but will gladly travel further at a mileage cost of $0.60/mile per bartender outside our normal service area. (north of Thornton, west of Wheat Ridge, east of Aurora, south of Centennial) If your event is outside Colorado, please contact us for special arrangements.
Are your bartenders licensed?
Venues operated by the City & County of Denver and some private venues require a ‘licensed bartender’ - this means that your bartender must have proof of TIPS or ABC certification. All our bartenders can provide this proof on request.
How many bartenders will I need for my event?
A good rule of thumb is one bartender for every 50 guests, but it depends somewhat on what you’re serving; beer and wine service goes faster than cocktails, and can be managed with fewer people. Conversely, if you would like to serve a large cocktail menu, we may recommend an extra pair of hands to make sure the bar line stays short.
We have a small and dedicated crew of friendly, talented, and experienced professional bartenders that have worked in Denver’s finest bars and restaurants. Together we can handle events of almost any size!
(We do not currently provide servers or cocktail waitresses.)
Do you have glassware?
We proudly offer EcoProducts compostable cups in sizes appropriate for wine, beer, and cocktails. If you would like glass for service, we suggest Butler Rents or Colorado Party Rentals - they carry all types and sizes of glassware, and will deliver and pick up your rentals.
Do you provide the bar? Can you set up outdoors, in my living room, or in my office building?
We have two portable bars; one travels easily and can be worked by one bartender, the other can support two bartenders but must be moved on a trailer. Both can be set up indoors or out, and we will happily set up inside your home or office on any hard, non-carpeted surface. We prefer to have a faucet and sink nearby, but if none is available, we can be flexible!
